Timeline

January 4, 2015- Decision made to pursue domestic infant adoption.
January 7, 2015- Initial application completed and mailed to Bethany Christian Services.
January 12, 2015- Online portal access granted to Bethany Christian Services.
January 20, 2015- Formal application submitted.
January 22, 2015- Case worker assigned.
January 27, 2015- 1st meeting with our caseworker to go over initial paperwork.
February 4, 2015- 1st home study visit at our home.
February 16, 2015- 2nd home study visit at our home.
February 24, 2015- 3rd home study visit with just Rachel and the girls to interact with the kids.
March 7, 2015- Fingerprinting done.
March 18, 2015- 4th and final home study visit after all of our physicals are done. The unofficial "you will be approved" is said by our caseworker. :)
May 7, 2015- Met with case worker at our home to read our home study report, 15 pages long!
May 13, 2015- Received official home study approval letter in the mail! We are now a waiting family!
April 5, 2016- As we have not been matched yet, we met with our case worker today for our home study update and have finished everything needed to be updated for another year. Hopefully we welcome a child into our home this year!
November 21, 2016- We received a call from our caseworker that a mom of a nearly 3 month old baby boy chose our family to meet with!
November 22, 2016- We met the birthmom who chose our family to see if pursuing adoption for her son was a "good match" for us all.
December 5, 2016- We met and received our sweet baby boy and took him to our home! We are currently awaiting formal announcement and posting pictures until initial court dates have been completed.
January 26, 2017- We now have legal placement of our son!
